Summer Climbing Camp for Kids in San Diego
Give your kids an unforgettable summer at Grotto Climbing & Yoga! Our summer camp is a great opportunity for children new to climbing to begin learning the skills necessary to climb safely, the technique used to climb efficiently, and to gain confidence in themselves in a social and collaborative environment!
More Than Just a Summer Camp!
Climbing isn't only a physical sport. It's a full-body, full-brain challenge that builds resilience, spatial reasoning, and genuine confidence. Here's what your child gains at Grotto's summer climbing camp in San Diego.
Climbing Foundations
Campers work on their footwork, body awareness, route-reading skills, and proper technique for bouldering!
Problem-Solving
Every climbing route is a puzzle. Kids learn to read sequences, plan moves, and adapt when their first attempt doesn't work, putting their critical thinking in action!
Confidence
Sending a route they thought was impossible? That feeling carries over into school, sports, and everyday challenges. Climbing builds real self-belief.
Teamwork & Community
Climbers cheer each other on. Campers form friendships through working on problems together, sharing ideas, and celebrating each other's success in a fun, supportive environment.

"My kids had never climbed before this and are now hooked! The coaches were patient, encouraging, and genuinely cared about every kid. We're already signed up for next summer."
"Best summer camp decision we've made. Both of our boys came home exhausted and excited every single day. The staff is incredible."
